Role: Project Manager

Location: Columbus, OH

Renewyx is working with a well-established solar energy firm that specializes in the design, development, and delivery of commercial and industrial PV systems across the Midwest. Known for their engineering-driven approach and commitment to long-term performance, they partner with a wide range of clients to bring complex solar projects from concept to commissioning. With a growing portfolio and a pipeline of active builds, they’re expanding their project management capacity to support continued execution excellence.

They’re seeking an experienced project manager to serve as the owner’s representative on a high-visibility commercial solar installation in Columbus, OH. This is a 12-month contract role (up to 40 hours/week) where you’ll be responsible for overseeing third-party EPCs, ensuring milestone tracking, cost control, and schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of solar project experience and a total of 5+ years in construction, with a proven ability to manage external vendors, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and drive results in the field.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a project from the front lines while representing a reputable solar firm with a strong project backlog and growing national presence. You’ll gain exposure to complex solar scopes, collaborate with highly technical teams, and play a key role in delivering high-impact renewable infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • 3+ years of direct experience managing commercial solar PV installations

  • 5+ years of total construction project management experience, ideally with electrical/mechanical scopes

  • Experience serving as owner’s representative or third-party construction liaison on active job sites

  • Proven ability to manage EPC firms, subcontractors, and permitting authorities

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, utility interconnection processes, and solar QA/QC standards

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, construction drawings, and site plans

  • Experience with construction scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

  • Familiarity with RFI/submittal processes and document control best practices

  • Comfortable leading progress meetings, updating stakeholders, and generating regular project reports

If this is an opportunity you have interest in, then please apply to avoid disappointment.
