Estimating Manager

📍U.S.-Based | Utility-Scale Renewable Projects | On-Site

My client is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead cost estimating for utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects. In this role, you’ll manage the full estimating process—from analyzing RFPs and site data to delivering precise, competitive proposals that win. You’ll lead a team of estimators, work across engineering, procurement, and construction, and directly influence strategy and execution.

🔧Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of estimators.
Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for large-scale renewable projects.
Review RFPs, technical documents, and site conditions to define scope and pricing.
Manage estimates from kickoff through proposal submission.
Collaborate with EPC teams to align estimates with real-world execution.
Maintain cost databases and track market trends to improve accuracy.
Provide pricing recommendations and risk assessments to leadership.
Continuously refine estimating tools, processes, and best practices.

🎓Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of estimating experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Microsoft Project.
Proven leadership, organizational, and analytical abilities.

Preferred:

Experience with AutoCAD.
Familiarity with SAP.
