📍 On-Site Solar Project Manager / Construction Manager / Superintendent (Contract)

Location:Columbus Metropolitan Area, OH

Project Duration:12 – 16 months

Schedule:Estimated 30 - 40 hours weekly

Project Size:1.3 MW – carport & rooftop solar installation

Compensation:Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

🔧About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned, field-first professional to take the lead on a1.3 MW solar PV installationin theColumbus, OH area, spanning multiple buildings and incorporating bothcarport and rooftop systems. This is a true boots-on-the-ground role—ideal for someone who thrives in the field, leads with confidence, and knows how to keep high-stakes projects moving efficiently, safely, and on budget.

Whether the title isProject Manager, Construction Manager, or Superintendent, this individual will serve as the on-site extension of our client’s brand, owning the daily execution, driving subcontractor performance, and ensuring the project moves from mobilization to energization without a hitch.

🛠Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site representative for the project owner/developer

  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors daily; ensure quality, schedule, and safety compliance

  • Oversee and drive project progress across all carports and rooftops

  • Lead weekly site meetings and conduct weekly safety trainings/toolbox talks

  • Maintain daily/weekly reporting, track productivity, and support cost control measures

  • Address field issues swiftly and professionally

  • Handle basic project administration (e.g. logs, documentation, photos, schedules)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, inspectors, and stakeholders on-site

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience

    managing or supervising C&I or multifamily solar construction projects

  • Strong understanding of carport and rooftop solar installation logistics

  • Comfortable working outdoors and being physically present on-site

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Self-starter with a “do what it takes” mindset

  • Ability to stay organized and accountable under pressure

  • OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid preferred
