Our client, a dynamic and fast-scaling clean energy organization is seeking aHuman Resources Representativeto lead the development and execution of foundational HR systems during a period of significant growth.
This is a strategic, high-ownership role—not a routine HR position. You’ll have the opportunity to design HR infrastructure from the ground up, define compensation strategy, implement recruitment initiatives across all departments, and help shape a thriving, people-first culture. Primary Responsibilities
🔧 Develop and Implement HR Infrastructure
Create and roll out comprehensive HR policies and procedures tailored to a high-growth environment.
Draft and manage employment documentation, including offer letters, agreements, contractor onboarding, and separation processes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state (CA) and federal labor regulations.
💸 Design and Optimize Compensation Programs
Establish salary bands and job classification systems across a range of roles.
Conduct industry benchmarking (solar, cleantech, and construction sectors) to inform pay strategy.
Recommend performance-based compensation models such as incentive plans and profit-sharing options.
🔍 Lead Full-Cycle Recruitment & Onboarding
Own talent acquisition strategy across executive, technical, field, and administrative roles.
Build and manage a talent pipeline using leading sourcing platforms and industry networks.
Deliver a seamless and effective onboarding experience to accelerate new hire integration.
📊 Support Organizational Design & Talent Development
Collaborate with leadership to define organizational structure and workforce planning needs.
Conduct skills gap analyses and contribute to the creation of internal career development pathways.
Promote a strong, values-driven workplace culture through engagement and team-building initiatives.
📁 Oversee Core HR Operations
Select, implement, and manage an HRIS platform to centralize data and streamline operations.
Maintain accurate employee records, administer benefits programs, and coordinate with payroll.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for all internal HR-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of experience in an HR generalist role—ideally within the energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
Proven ability to establish HR processes and systems in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Strong understanding of California labor laws and federal employment compliance standards.
Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, Paycom) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification.
