🔧About the Role

We’re seeking aSolar Apprentice Electricianto join our client's growing field team, supporting Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar installations throughout the Midwest. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role for someone eager to grow their electrical career in one of the fastest-growing sectors of clean energy.

You’ll work under the guidance of licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians to assist with wiring, conduit, equipment installation, and troubleshooting for solar PV and energy storage systems. If you’re motivated, mechanically inclined, and willing to travel for top-tier projects, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation of electrical components on C&I solar PV systems (rooftop, ground mount, carport, etc.)

  • Pull wire, bend conduit (EMT/RMC), and install cable trays per NEC code and site drawings

  • Support inverter, combiner box, panelboard, and junction box installations

  • Learn and apply safety protocols, electrical theory, and PV system layouts

  • Collaborate with licensed electricians and construction teams to meet project deadlines

  • Conduct pre-task planning and help maintain a safe, clean jobsite

  • Travel regionally across the Midwest to support active projects (per diem and lodging provided)

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years experience in electrical or solar PV work (apprenticeship or trade school a plus)

  • Familiarity with NEC standards and commercial electrical systems

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and electrical plans

  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in variable weather

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel is required)

🧰Nice-to-Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

  • NCCER, NABCEP, or local union apprenticeship enrollment

  • Experience on C&I solar, energy storage, or generator projects

  • Basic knowledge of multimeters, power tools, and jobsite best practices
