Position Overview

Seeking a Professional Land Surveyor responsible for planning, managing, and executing all aspects of surveying projects. This role includes direct supervision of both office and field staff assigned to projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee general surveying services across projects.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams.

  • Contribute to estimating efforts and proposal development for multiple service lines.

  • Develop work plans and allocate staffing for a range of large and small projects.

  • Supervise office analysis to determine tract or parcel boundaries.

  • Coordinate and direct field staff with clear communication of project scope and expectations.

  • Ensure quality control for project deliverables prepared by office staff.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in boundary surveying and project execution.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.

  • Experience supervising technical staff and field crews, when applicable.

  • Strong ability to plan workload, multitask, and delegate effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control.

  • Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or be eligible to obtain licensure based on education and experience.

  • Commitment to regular attendance and flexibility to adjust work schedules or work overtime as required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Flexible work arrangements considered, including in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
