Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilledTechnical Writerwith experience in the solar industry to develop comprehensiveInstallation and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manualsforsolar tracker systems. This individual will work closely with engineering, product development, and field operations teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports safe installation, operation, and maintenance of tracker equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed technical documentation, including
Installation Guides,
Operations Manuals, and
Preventative Maintenance Procedures
for solar tracking systems.
Translate complex engineering specifications and field data into
clear, structured content
for field technicians, EPCs, and O&M teams.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, product managers, and field technicians to gather source information.
Ensure all manuals adhere to
industry standards, client branding, and regulatory requirements
(NEC, IEC, UL, OSHA, etc.).
Incorporate diagrams, CAD screenshots, exploded views, and step-by-step instructions using tools such as
Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Maintain version control and update documentation as products evolve or field feedback is received.
Review and revise existing manuals to enhance clarity, usability, and consistency.
Assist in the development of
troubleshooting guides, quick-start checklists, and training materials.
Qualifications:
Proven experience writing technical documentation in the
solar or renewable energy sector, preferably with
solar tracker technology.
Working knowledge of
solar PV systems, tracker installation procedures, electrical and mechanical components, and site safety protocols.
Exceptional written communication and
visual storytelling
skills.
Proficient in
technical writing tools
(e.g., Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, MS Office, or similar platforms).
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to interpret and synthesize
engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Bachelor's degree in
Technical Communication, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred.
